about the artist

Born in Brisbane in 1952, Kerry Nobbs is a highly respected Australian Landscape painter.  Self taught, he spent his early years painting murals in the Tweed Valley and Gold Coast regions of Australia.  Painting in oils, Kerry turned professional in 1984, with the win of his first art prize. Today, Kerry travels Australia extensively, absorbing the landscape - particularly the light and atmosphere which he captures so elegantly in his main source of inspiration - rugged mountain ranges, remote valleys and pristine coastlines.
